It there a cost?

No! The Surf Coast Skepticamp is free, but we do ask you to book in order to arrange appropriate catering.

Tell me about the presentations.

The program is quite flexible and will not be finalised until just before the event. Presentations are short: 20 minutes, with the opportunity for Q&A. Topics in the past have included: anti-vaxxers after COVID, UFOs and other things, skeptical trivia, Fake Martial Arts and Catching Academic Cheats.

What will be provided?

Tea and coffee on arrival and on demand during the day. Light refreshments: fruit, mini-cakes etc.

What about lunch?

There is a small cafe walking distance from the venue that has proven popular in the past.

Question 5

What about a social gathering or dinner?

Accepted Answer

We adjourn to the Airey Pub at the conclusion of the day for further skeptical discussion and dinner. Many attendees stay in the area for the night.

What about accommodation in the area?

Accepted Answer

This can be difficult during peak holiday season. With a bit of perseverance it can be managed.

Is there anything I can do in Aireys to make it a weekend away?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are walks and the picturesque Aireys Inlet lighthouse, plus the entire vista of the Great Ocean Road. There is also the Aireys Inlet Music Festival running that weekend.
