About the Training:

This two-day training workshop will assist youth workers, social workers, case workers, teachers and others to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to forge their own path in life as they journey from adolescence to adulthood, using the Prepare to Grow toolkit. Prepare to Grow focuses on developing young people’s life skills in the following key areas:

* health and well-being

* healthy relationships

* education and employment

* teamwork and communication

* digital literacy and online safety

* financial literacy

* housing

* personal identity

The training is fun, informative, interactive and engaging, giving participants the chance to explore what works when teaching young people about life skills, combined with lots of time to practice using the various tools and activities from Prepare to Grow. A wide variety of methods are used within the workshop, including presentations, small and large group discussions, whole group activities, individual reflection and scenarios.

Every participant will receive a free copy of Prepare to Grow - a comprehensive toolkit containing over 450 activities. These include games, discussion starters, scenarios, videos and worksheets - using a broad mix of one-to-one and group activities.
