The Supporting Women and Gender Diverse People in the Sex Industry: 3.5 hour (condensed) session will teach you:
- The types of barriers that are unique to women and gender diverse people with diverse experiences in the sex industry and how to remove those barriers in your own workplace;
- Specific language to use (and not to use) to establish trust and understanding;
- Do’s and don’ts of effectively providing services to women with diverse experiences in the sex industry using trauma-informed principles;
- How to access specialist referral pathways to help ensure that women receive the services they require;
- Increased skills and knowledge to build your inclusive practice, based on the lived experiences of women.
Plus:
- The components, indicators and support pathways for people who have experienced sexual exploitation (including trafficking).
The session will run for 3.5 hours as an online Zoom facilitated session.

- service providers based in the City of Monash
- service providers based outside the City of Monash who provide services to people living in the City of Monash (limited places).
