Precious Wings Support Group for Bereaved Parents of Adolescents or Young Adults
A place to honour, remember, and heal
This fortnightly support group runs every two weeks from 28 January until, and including, 25 March 2026, with sessions held 10am–12pm.
Session dates:
• 28 January
• 11 February

• 25 March
Time: 10am–12pm
At Precious Wings, we know that losing an adolescent or young adult is a profoundly life-altering experience, and that support for families after this kind of loss is often limited.
We are offering a grief support group for parents and carers who have lost an adolescent or young adult (approximately 13–30 years). This age range is a guide only — we understand every family and every loss is unique, and we are very open to flexibility.
Many parents tell us how meaningful it can be to sit alongside others who truly understand this specific kind of grief. This group offers a gentle, compassionate space to come together in shared understanding — to speak openly (or simply listen), reflect, and connect.
There is no right way to grieve, only your way — and you don’t have to walk this path alone.
Together, over our fortnightly sessions, we’ll explore ways to carry the love and memory of our children forward, while learning to live alongside our grief, at our own pace.
Facilitator: Amy Larsen
Amy is a social worker and specialist grief counsellor with over 15 years’ experience. She has worked within the Coronial system supporting families after sudden, unexpected, or traumatic deaths, and previously in oncology, haematology, palliative care, and paediatric bereavement. Amy is deeply passionate about supporting parents navigating infertility, pregnancy and parenting after loss, and parenting through grief.
Wondering if this group is right for you?
We understand this can feel like a big step. If you’d like to talk it through first, Amy is very happy to offer a 15-minute connection call. Simply message us or email info@preciouswings.org.
You are so welcome — just as you are.
To keep it a safe place, this is an adults-only group. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you.
Please note: access to the room requires going up a flight of stairs.
***Facilitator Disclosure
The facilitator of this group also works in private practice as a grief counsellor. Participation in this support group does not create any obligation to engage in private counselling, and private services will not be promoted within the group. Some participants may already see the facilitator privately; where this is the case, clear boundaries and confidentiality will be maintained. If you have any questions or concerns about this, you are welcome to discuss them with Precious Wings at any time.
