Frequently asked questions

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. All areas are free but some have time limits. Some streets have unrestricted parking. There are no metered parking areas in Railway Place. The Railway Station Carpark is often used, but it is not recommended except for train travellers.

It is free. Can I donate?

Yes, and we do appreciate donations to help us continue to offer free events. We have a physical donation box inside but you can also donate online. Ask at the centre.

Can I bring my child/children?

Because this meditation lasts 1 hour with a considerable amount of silence, stillness and concentration involved, we recommend that only children from 12 years attend. We do hope you understand.

Is there disability/wheelchair access?

We have only just moved in to Fairfield Centre (July 2023) and unfortunately, right now, there are some obstacles to some disability access. We will be addressing this as we refurbish and renovate our centre. We hope you understand that this will take a little time, and thank you for your patience.

Our newest Victorian centre is in the serene, leafy village of Fairfield where we are surrounded by coffee shops, eateries. a beautiful park, a heritage open-air amphitheatre, and a boathouse. It is known for its diverse and vibrant community. It’s just 6kms from the CBD and is directly across the road – 2 mins - from Fairfield train station, the Hurstbridge line. There are also 3 bus routes that pass through.

For those seeking meaning in life and answers to life’s ‘big questions’, our unique calm environment, with experienced meditation tutors, is a great place to learn practical meditation and positive living techniques to help you lead a meaningful and empowered life .

We offer The Brahma Kumaris’ core curriculum courses in Raja Yoga Meditation in English, Hindi, Tamil and Punjabi. Weekly inspirational classes as well as World Meditation Hour is a favourite and held monthly. There will be many more community events

It is run by volunteers and all activities are offered without charge as a community service. Donations are welcomed to help in covering costs.
