Created specifically for art teachers and emerging to mid‑career artists, this practical session offers focused skill‑building for those who already have foundational drawing experience. Explore accessible yet sophisticated approaches to proportion, anatomy, scale, tone, and expressive mark‑making, all designed to refine your existing practice and strengthen your confidence in the studio or classroom.

Please note: This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners.

  • Optional guided tour of the First Class exhibition from 1pm
  • When: 1:30-3:30pm, Sunday 15 March
  • Tickets: $35 + booking fee, Lake Mac Arts Members: $31.50 + booking fee

About the venue: Museum of Art and Culture, yapang (MAC yapang)

The Museum of Art and Culture (MAC yapang) is located at the end of First Street, Booragul, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. It has ramp access for wheelchairs and prams, baby changing facilities and accessible toilets.

MAC yapang can be reached easily from the lake foreshore cycleway, the water, or by public transport. There is parking for cars, and buses with accessible spaces available, onsite and adjacent to the Hunter Rowing Club.
