Is there a cosplay change area?

There is restroom in the event hall space that can be used, but for bulky cosplays the require some more room we can make arrangements, see staff upon arrival.

Is there parking and food on site?

Yes, the Function centre has plenty of parking on site via Oval Ave. The Function Centre is attached to the RSL, and the Bistro can be used for lunch but please be mindful of cosplays, helmets, masks and dress codes for bistro. A bar is also in the event space for drinks Non-alcoholic) & snacks.

Is the event Wheelchair friendly?

Yes, the entire event hall has wheelchair access and parking underneath with lifts to the event hall.

SunCon 2026! Join us for a day of Cosplay, Trivia, Games, Celebrities, Artists, Competitions & Workshops and more!

The Sunshine Coast's very own Pop Culture event! SUNCON 2026 (Sunshine Coast Pop Culture Convention) welcomes you to a day of Celebrity Guests, Cosplay Competitions, Trivia, Tournaments, QnA's and heaps of stalls for all fans of all pop culture!

Our guests include stars from Star Wars, The Hobbit, The Matrix, Mad Max & Marvel franchises. Come grab a photo with a celebrity, a signature or listen to them tell behind the scenes stories from the films in a QnA hosted by our very own M.C Mr. Peter Budd!

Adults Cosplay Competition is open to ages 13+ with the winner taking home $100 and the honour of being the 2027 Cosplay Ambassador and Judge! Entry is $10 and via our website www.suncon.au or email - SunCon.SunshineCoast.Convention@Gmail.com

Wargame Warehouse is also hosting a miniature painting competition, bring your completed armies for evaluation. Armies can be from any Tabletop games such as Warhammer, Star Wars Legion etc. Armies will be judged on detail and creativity by model painting experts and the legendary comic book and video game artists Wayne and Adam Nichols! We have raffles drawn at 3pm on the day with some amazing prizes donated by Gentle Giant PTY LTD and some of our amazing vendors, proceeds of these raffles are helping local charity organisations such as The iNcrowd and Life Care Maroochydore.

Trivia Heads!!! We have 2 trivia competitions to enter, a Star Wars themed trivia with a great Star Wars Collectable prize and the other is for those who dabble in all fandoms covering various movies and TV shows... entry is free.

Padawaan Playground! for our tiny tot fans we have a designated area for you too! with face painting, colouring and a drawing competition drawn at 3pm on the main stage! (adult supervision is required at all times!)

Last but not least we have a bunch of amazing Vendors sourced locally or from the Southeast corner, all here to support the local community and provide you with all your nerdy needs!
