Summit Rise is a monthly hike and breathwork session for men who carry responsibility and want to lead life from a calmer, more grounded place. We use movement, nature, and breath to regulate the nervous system, sharpen focus, and reset the body and mind. No hype, no pressure - just space to reset and rise.

What to Expect
You can expect:

A steady, accessible group hike in nature

Space for connection, reflection, and quiet

A guided breathwork session focused on nervous system regulation

Time to reset, slow down, and recalibrate

A grounded, supportive environment - no pressure, no ego

This is not a race, a workout, or a therapy session. It’s a reset for men who carry a lot and want to lead life from a calmer place.
What to Bring
Please bring:

Comfortable walking shoes

Weather-appropriate clothing

Water bottle

Towel or mat to sit/lie on for breathwork

An open mind

No breathwork or hiking experience is required.
Important Notes

Park on the side of the road at the roundabout

Meet outside Gate 6 Eastern Escarpment Area on West Mount Cotton Road

This session is suitable for most fitness levels

If you have medical conditions that may affect breathwork, please reach out prior

Phones are discouraged during the session to support presence and connection

WHO AM I?I’m Paul Grugan, co-founder of Life By Eight and a Life & Nervous System Coach. My work is built on a simple belief: Real change starts with regulation, not pressure.I help men, leaders, and high-performers move out of stress, reactivity, and autopilot by learning how to regulate their nervous system and communicate from a grounded place.Summit Rise was created as a reset from the noise:

Movement through nature

Guided breathwork

Space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect

This experience isn’t about pushing harder - it’s about becoming calm, clear, and present so you can lead your life from a stronger place. If you’re ready to step out of survival mode and rise into your next level, I’ll meet you at the trailhead.Paul
