Summer Textile Recycling Event

Summer Textile Recycling Event

Overview

Come and recycle your worn-out clothes, holy sheets, and other end of life textiles for recycling!

Did you know Australians send 6 tonnes of clothing and textiles to landfill every 10 minutes?

You can help change this by bringing your worn-out clothes and fabric to our summer textile recycling event.

By sending these items to specialist recyclers, the material can be reused to make new products. This keeps them in the circular economy — where resources are reused instead of wasted — and reduces the need for new materials.

Please refer to below image for what items are/not accepted.

Items that won't be accepted:

  • unclean textiles
  • underwear
  • non-textile material
  • donatable goods - please take these items to your local charity shop.

If incorrect items are brought to the event, staff have the right to refuse these items.

Drive-up only. No pedestrian access for this event. Please keep your children in your vehicle at all times.

Registration is essential, and the event is open to Moonee Valley residents only (please bring proof of address). One ticket per car.

In the case of extreme weather, this event may be cancelled or postponed. Ticket holders will be notified via E-mail.

To assist in reviewing the experience of our customers and evaluating the effectiveness of our programs, all registered attendees will receive a post-event survey sent to their email. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and by opting in and accepting the survey invitation, you indicate your consent.
