Summer Mini World Clay Workshop (Ages 6–10)
Build, create and imagine your own Mini World Clay Village this summer! A fun, creative art camp for kids aged 6–10.
This summer, kids are invited to step into a tiny, magical world of their own making!
Over three creative afternoons, children will design and build a Mini World Clay Village – complete with houses, tiny people, animals, and all the little details that bring a story to life.
Guided by our art therapist, children will explore air-dry clay, mixed media, drawing and simple construction, while building confidence, problem-solving skills and imagination.
What We’ll Be Doing Each Week
Week 1 – Thursday 8 January 🧱 Design & Build the Village
- Plan the layout of their mini world (roads, park, town square, beach… anything they imagine!)
- Create clay houses, trees, and landscape features
- Learn basic clay techniques: rolling, shaping, joining pieces together
- Start thinking about who might live in their village
Week 2 – Thursday 15 January 🧍 Tiny Characters & Creatures
- Create mini people, animals, vehicles or fantasy creatures from clay
- Explore expressions, body language and personality in their characters
- Add colour and detail with paint and mixed media
- Begin to build simple stories about life in their village
Week 3 – Thursday 22 January ✨ Details, Storytelling & Display
- Add final details: signs, tiny food, flowers, furniture and special features
- Bring the village together as one shared display
- Gentle group reflection and “village tour” at the end of the session
