Join your favorite local bike shop and a whole bunch of friendly bicycle folk for a weekend of riding arorund the beautiful Hawkesbury River.
We will be riding along one of Sydney's most scenic rivers, camping in the Dharug National Park, and enjoying some spectacular scenery.
Day 1: (60km) Following the Hawkesbury River to Wiseman's Ferry, we'll camp nearby at Mill Creek Campground.
Day 2: Choice of either a) Ride back to Windsor on the other side of the river (60km) or b) ride out to Gosford Station along a slightly more adventurous offroad route. (60+km)
-A moderate level of fitness
-A suitable bicycle (there is some dirt but it should be in pretty good condition)
-Water (you can fill up at Wisemans Ferry)
-Food (you can buy more at Wisemans Ferry)
-Clothes for rain and cold
-Tools and spares (patch kit, inner tube, pump, allen keys etc.)
-Sleeping bag, mat and tent
Catch the 8.36am train from Central Station, arriving at Windsor Station at 9.49am. We'll assemble in the carpark and then head off at 10am.
The ride returns to Windsor Station or Gosford Station, where you can get a train home.
If you're camping with us you need to book - it's $15 per person to cover the cost of camping.
