This two-day summit explores:
- Structured Literacy foundations
- Reading fluency
- Direct Instruction alignment
- Spelling Mastery introduction and deep dive
- 3-tier intervention framework
Grounded in the Science of Reading and cognitive science, this session provides clarity around:
· What effective explicit instruction looks like
· How Direct Instruction aligns with structured literacy principles
· How to embed a coherent 3-tier intervention model
· What successful whole-school implementation requires
This professional learning draws on extensive experience supporting schools across Queensland to implement structured literacy and Direct Instruction.
Schools are encouraged to send teams of teachers or literacy leaders to support consistent implementation across classrooms.
