Interactive discussion on Structure vs Function in Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, and more

University of Canberra's Discipline of Optometry is delighted to invite you to participate in our annual interactive CPD events to be held on Monday 8th May 2023, 6pm-8pm. Please register here to join this Live streamed event.This event is Optometry Australia Institute of Excellence Quality Assured When: Monday 8th May 2023, 6.00pm-8.00pm (2 hours)

What:Part A:Canberra and Sydney based Ophthalmologist Dr Noor Ali will present some case studies that demonstrate Glaucoma progression and facilitate a discussion on the role of structural versus functional changes. University of Canberra staff will facilitate break out rooms for an interactive discussion and opportunity to interpret some of the case information. Associate Professor Faran Sabeti will also lead an interactive case and discussion on the role of structural versus functional changes in Diabetic Retinopathy. He will discuss his research on the diagnostic power of different structural and functional ocular assessments. Part B:Optometry clinical education interactive session. UC's educators will facilitate discussion through break out rooms. This session will appeal to external providers facilitating students on placement, and optometrists interested in clinical education. Learn about the clinical rubrics in optometry, rapid fire case exemplars for assessment.
