StrokeSafe volunteers deliver life-saving messages about stroke.

Many Speakers have experienced a stroke themselves or are close to someone who has. They present information about stroke, and also draw on their own personal experiences. Every talk is unique and memorable.

Topics covered:

• What stroke is – What happens when someone is having a stroke and the different types of stroke.

• How to recognise the signs of stroke – Learn the vital F.A.S.T. signs of stroke.

• What to do during a stroke emergency – Knowing when to call triple zero (000).

• How to reduce your risk of stroke – Understand and reduce the risk of stroke.

This will be an online talk, the speaker will ‘dial-in’.

Singleton Council is getting behind this year’s NSW Seniors Festival and encouraging older people in our community to connect and celebrate. Join the largest celebration for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere.
