String Camp 2024

Servicing Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca and surrounds, the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is the centre of music education and performance for the region. With a student list of close to 600 and a staff of 30, the Conservatorium has a strong ensemble and performance program for all styles of music and at all levels. Workshops and performances are offered by visiting national and international artists and major events such as the Coffs Harbour Guitar Festival and Coffs Harbour String School are at the forefront of the Conservatorium's wider activities.Situated in the Bray Street Complex, corner of Bray St & Pacific Highway, Coffs Harbour.

Experience structured learning with intensive rehearsals, sectionals, workshops and performance opportunities!

Calling all emerging orchestral string players! Registration is now open for the 2024 Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium String Camp, commencing October 1st and finishing October 4th.This immersive and intensive camp is targeted to musicians aged 8-18 and with a minimum playing standard of Grade 2 AMEB (Australian Musicians Examination Board). More advanced players (AMEB Grade 8+) will be given extra opportunities to challenge and supplement their learning. String players do not need to be currently taking lessons or ensemble programs at the Coffs Con to apply for String Camp – we have had participants come join from Grafton, Bellingen, Nambucca, Armidale and Port Macquarie in past years. Instruments included are violin, viola, cello and double bass.String camp is structured to fully engage participants with intensive string orchestra rehearsals; sectionals with expert tutors and solo masterclasses and performance opportunities.
