Without a strategic plan it's too easy to become caught up in the daily tasks of running a business, only to discover too late that the time, energy and money you've invested hasn't achieved your desired results. A solid strategic plan will help you determine your internal strengths and limitations, and understand the external environment in which your business operates. Having this knowledge, you allow you to build a plan that focuses your energy and resources on what will deliver the highest value returns.
This workshop will provide the tools to build your strategic plan and to ensure you stay on track to achieve your goals.

- Investigating the external environment and target markets;
- Considering your strengths and constraints;
- Determining organisational capacity;
- Setting long, medium and short term goals;
- Ways to stay on track.
This session is for existing business owners.
The facilitator for this topic, Capstone Associates, provide hands on knowledge and skills experiences to help business owners succeed. They have more than 25 years of experience in providing training and one-to-one support programs to business owners.
This session is presented by the SBDC, the only agency in the Western Australian Government dedicated to helping small business. In fact, we've been providing practical support to small business owners for more than 30 years.

If you are attending an online workshop you will receive instructions and a link on how to join and important information to ensure your device is suitable. Therefore, if you are booking for more than one person, please ensure you provide each person's email address.

You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the workshop starts. Even for free sessions we would appreciate you cancelling if you cannot attend so another small business owner can take your place. For paid sessions, no refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.
Additional information for online workshop sessions
Please check your computer's suitability for online workshops, including its sound quality, browser, internet bandwidth and speed and video plugins (if required) before the start of the online workshop session. Camera and microphone capabilities are recommended to interact with online workshops.
Our online workshops are run as live, interactive sessions, similar to the format of our face-to-face sessions. For this reason, there is a limited number of tickets per session so our presenters can adequately interact with, and respond to, attendees. Recordings of these live sessions are not available if you do not attend the live event time.
