This reading session aims to help children relax, open up and have fun while reading to a calm and friendly dog.
Story Dogs is a reading support program where trained volunteers and accredited dogs listen to primary school children reading.
As part of Tasmania Reads at Glenorchy Library, book a session to read to one of the dogs.
Individual reading sessions are 20 minutes for one child. Bookings are required!
Parking:
- Library parking – Corner of Terry Street and Barry Street – Maximum 2-hour parking
- Glenorchy City Council Carpark off Barry Street - Maximum 2-hour parking
To ensure a successful event, please:
- Let us know if you can’t attend so we can give your place to someone else.
- Let us know if you have any support needs or if a support person will be coming with you.
Accessibility:
- 2 permit mobility parking spaces in Glenorchy City Council Carpark - 2-hour parking limits
- Level access, automatic entrance doors, wide doorways and aisles for wheelchairs
- Accessible toilet and parenting room available
