Step Up for Col Austin – Clean Up Australia Event

Step Up for Col Austin! A local community clean-up, part of Clean Up Australia, supported by Council and Queensland Government.

Join us for a positive, community-led clean-up at Col Austin Park, bringing locals together to care for our shared green spaces and waterways.

This event forms part of Clean Up Australia and is delivered through Motivating the Masses on Moores Creek Project, with support from Rockhampton Regional Council. Funding is provided through the Queensland Government’s Community Sustainability Action Grants.

Participants will walk the park paths, collect litter and debris, and help protect the local environment.

🚗 Preferred Parking:
Please park at Yewdale Park and walk along the shared pathway past Stockland Rockhampton to Col Austin Park. This helps reduce congestion and supports safe access for all participants.

🧤 Clean-Up Times

To help manage numbers and keep everyone safe, the clean-up will run in four time slots between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. When registering, please choose the session that suits you.

Clean-up sessions:
• 9:00 – 9:45 am (includes arrival and mandatory safety briefing)
• 9:45 – 10:30 am
• 10:30 – 11:15 am
• 11:15 am – 12:00 pm

Participants are welcome to join for one session or stay for multiple time slots. All clean-up equipment will be provided. Please wear enclosed shoes and sun protection.
