About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Dabke is a folkloric group dance practiced in the Middle East, including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan. It is performed by men and women at weddings, parties, and community celebrations.

The Arabic Language and Culture Association of SA (ALCASA) invites all dancing enthusiasts to take part in regular dabke rehearsal sessions under the guidance of Rania Daou, an experienced dance instructor from Torath Arts Group.

Join us on Sunday 24 March (1:30 to 3:00 pm) for a dabke workshop. All ages are welcome including families and young adults.

Wear comfortable clothing, bring your water bottle and snacks, and be prepared to dance “dabke” and connect with other like-minded individuals.

Book as soon as possible and write to us if you have any questions.
