Overview

Fun after-school program for ages 8–12 with hands-on Science, Tech, Engineering, Art & Maths activities!

Unleash creativity, curiosity, and innovation in our exciting after-school program designed for children aged 8–12 years. Each week, participants dive into hands-on activities that explore the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

Every session focuses on a different element of STEAM, encouraging problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. Activities include:

  • Engineering Challenges: Build bridges with LEGO and test their structural integrity.
  • Science Experiments: Design a drop-proof capsule to protect your precious cargo.
  • Creative Construction: Compete to build the tallest tower.
  • Plus many more fun and educational projects!

STEAM Discoverers offers kids the opportunity to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, explore creativity through hands-on projects, build confidence, and make new friends.

STEAM Discoverers runs on Tuesdays, 3.30pm - 4.30pm, with a different focus each week of the month:

  • 1st Thursday of the month - STEAM
  • 2nd Thursday of the month - Lego Club
  • 3rd Thursday of the month - Tech Club
  • 4th Thursday of the month - Art Club
  • 5th Thursday of the month - Lego Club

  • Bookings are not required.
  • Children under 12 years must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times during this event. Visit Child Supervision in the Library for more information.
  • This program has a maximum capacity of 20 children per session. Please arrive 10 minutes prior.
  • This program does not run during school holidays, on public holidays or over the Christmas break.
  • Children in Tech Club are encouraged to bring their own devices if available (however, not essential).
