Statewide Treaty Community Celebration

Come celebrate Treaty with us!

It's official: Victoria’s new Treaty era will begin on Friday 12 December – and we’re kicking it off with a Community Celebration.

We’re inviting all First Peoples to a ceremony at the League to mark the Cultural Assent of Australia’s first Treaty. There will be dance and Culture, live music, and a free feed.

→ 10.30am – 3.30pm, Friday 12 December – Aboriginal Advancement League, Thornbury

Registrations are free but essential.

After our Community Celebration, jump on a nearby tram or train to head to the Treaty: It's Here celebration event at John Cain Arena from 6.30pm. A free bus service will be available for Elders and people with limited movement.

Our Treaty: It's Here celebration is open to everyone who calls Victoria home, and will run from 6.30pm-9.30pm. More details coming soon!

Please note: This Community Celebration is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We welcome non-Indigenous carers and support workers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people attending this event.
