Frequently asked questions

What is provided in the workshop?

You will receive clay, the use of all tools and equipment required and full hands-on instruction. Once your creations is built, you will paint it with underglaze that is provided. Tea, coffee, water, and biscuits are provided.

Do I get to take my creation home on the day?

Your creation will remain at the studio until dry. Once dry it will be bisque fired in the kiln. Then the instructor will coat your creation in clear glaze and fire again in the kiln. This process takes 2-3 weeks, and you will be contacted once ready for pickup.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please note, we do not offer refunds. However, if you give us at least 48 hours notice of your need to cancel, we will credit your payment toward another workshop. However, if you do not cancel with at least 48 hours notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.

What is your breakages policy?

Occasionally a piece may crack, explode, or have attachments fall off during the drying and firing process. The studio will take every effort to ensure that your work survives this unpredictable process, but we cannot be held liable for potential losses.

What should I wear/bring?

Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or possibly stained by the clay or underglazes. If you have an apron, please bring it with you. Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided but if you feel you will be hungry, please feel free to bring a sandwich/snack.
