Standing Strong - Yarning Up Loud 2024

Come join us for this 2-day event of empowerment and connection at Flinders University on Kaurna Land!

Brought to you by Flinders University, Adelaide University, University of SA, TAFE SA, and CATSINaM, the aim of this gathering is for Australia’s First Peoples, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, Midwives, and students to come together, to hear their voices, to celebrate strengths, identify gaps and develop strategies for better processes of support.

This will be a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses, Midwives and students can connect with allies, clinicians, and leaders of Schools, Colleges and Faculties, and influence future strategies and directions for student support, recruitment, and retention to the professions.

Allies will have an important role in listening.

Don't miss out on this inspiring event!

Organised by

Flinders University College of Nursing and Health Sciences RAP Working Group works together, in a joint effort, to contribute to reconciliation and ensure our College Reconciliation Action Plan articulates how our staff and students will engage in reconciliation actions and contribute to greater unity in the community we serve. Our core theme is allyship and we are deeply interested in extending our capacity to enact it. At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.
