SSSI NSW invites you to attend the inaugural SSSI NSW Twilight Networking Event!

This event is the first in a series that will run over the remainder of this year and through the next calendar year.

The SSSI NSW Twilight program will offer face to face networking with your spatial peers, and each event will target a specific stream with informal presentations on on-trend topics and projects, followed by an open floor Q&A.

Our inaugural SSSI NSW Twilight Event “Remote Sensing: Modern Imagery & Sensors”, will take place on Wednesday November the 1st 2017, at 5:45PM.

About our Speakers & Presentations:

Speaker 1: Liz Fulton

Liz Fulton is GIS Operations Manager of Cardno throughout the Asia Pacific region. She is responsible for the Cardno spatial system including data, standards, training, infrastructure and users. Liz is passionate about the spatial and surveying industry who along with being a consultant is a member of the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information and a GIS Educator who is always looking to spatially enabled people.

RPAS - Taking imagery to new heights

Liz will give an overview of remotely piloted aircraft technology and how it integrates into the surveying and spatial industry. She will discuss aspects of the technology for companies to consider and a quick look at how a multi-disciplinary professional service company are using it.

Speaker 2: Julia Spark

Julia Spark is the National Business Development Manager for Atlass-Aerometrex, a wholly Australian aerial survey company. Julia is responsible for the establishment of new markets for all Atlass-Aerometrex products and on-going service to existing clients. Julia’s passion is for 3D mapping and modelling and its many uses across all sectors. Julia has served on both state and national boards of SIBA and the Locate conference.

Unleashing the full capacity of remote sensing

Traditional photogrammetric and LiDAR technologies will form the basis of the presentation working through to the latest 3D technologies. High-resolution, photo realistic, accurate reality models extracted from photogrammetry to create a triangulated irregular network model provides users with detailed 3D visualization allowing them to communicate complex information useful for stakeholders, public consultation, augmented reality and virtual tours.
