Square Pegs North West Dyslexia Empowerment Camp
Overview
Welcome to the North West Dyslexia Empowerment Camp!
Join us for a fun and empowering experience at Camp Clayton, Ulverstone . This camp supports individuals with dyslexia - and their parent or caregiver - through community building, innovative workshops and engaging activities.
As a shared experience (student and one parent/caregiver together), this is a fantastic way to start the school year: learning, having fun, and making connections.
Program highlights:
- Parent workshop: Advocating for your child with dyslexia in Tasmania.
- Kids workshops: Entreprenuers and Innovators.
- Shared activities with child and parent: Facilitated by Camp Clayton staff.
Come and connect with others who understand your challenges and strengths. Learn new strategies to overcome obstacles and embrace your unique talents.
Workshops are facilitated by professional educators.
Eligibility:
- Tasmanian students who will be in Grade 7 in 2026 and haven't previously attended a Square Pegs Dyslexia Empowerment Camp.
- Participants must be available to attend the full program (from Friday evening to Sunday morning).
Cost:
$60 per family (student plus one parent/caregiver), which includes accommodation (families stay in separate rooms in the Main Site Lodge with shared ensuites), main meals, and activities. Travel to and from Camp Clayton is at your own expense.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow, learn, and have a blast! Numbers are limited, so book your place early.
