Spooky Stories Night
Have a great winter night out this August to support a good cause.
Warning: Not for the faint-hearted. Come if you dare!!
When: Saturday 19 August 2017, 6.00-8.30pm
- Special LOCK OUT session from 8.30-9.30pm for ADULTS ONLY!
Venue: The allegedly 'haunted' KSP Writers’ Centre, 11 Old York Road, Greenmount
Cost: $10 kids and concessions, $15 adults, $20 per family
Optional: Bring a spooky story to read by torchlight. Dress in your spooky best - prizes for the scariest.
Ticket price includes (while stocks last): Sinister pumpkin soup, crippling curry puffs, frightening fresh rolls, hair-raising hot chocolate, macabre marshmallows, spine-tingling sweets, spooky ghost stories, terrifying tea and creepy coffee.
The family-friendly event will feature cups of hearty soup, bread rolls, hot chocolate and marshmallows, and readings by torch-light of the award-winning stories from KSP’s 2017 Ghost Story Competition. Following this, we encourage anyone who has a scary story to tell to take the challenge and scare the bejeebers out of the audience with a piece of your own or by a published author.
Being run in the heritage-listed and allegedly haunted house of the KSP Writers’ Centre, this event is sure to rattle some bones and spook the senses!
Not suitable for children under the age of six. BYO drinks and a spooky story (optional).
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Centre is located on a residential street and looks like any other house: look for the 'Katharine’s Place' wooden plaque sign and bright green letterbox out front.
There is a bus stop directly outside the Centre on Old York Road, heading towards Mundaring. The Midland-bound bus-stop is located across Great Eastern Highway, about a 6-minute walk from KSP.
Parking is available in the front brick driveway and verge-side in front of the hedge, also on the upper gravel level (to the right of the house) and along the street. Additional overflow parking can be found down the gravel driveway to the immediate left of the house (look for the No Thoroughfare sign); please drive down here slowly.
What should I bring to the event?
Torch and cold drinks if desired. Bring a short scary story to read (optional).
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Phone the KSP Writers' Centre office 08 9294 1872 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
