Spinal Interest Network - Statewide Professional Development Day
Get ready to dive deep into all things spinal with professionals and lived experience across the state at the Spinal Interest Network Day
The Spinal Interest Network Statewide Professional Development Day brings clinicians together with people with spinal cord injury to strengthen shared understanding, confidence, and practical skill across the SCI journey. The day weaves together lived experience case studies, evidence-based clinical content, and discipline-specific practice streams — all framed within a whole-of-system Tasmanian context.
Participants will explore what supports people to live well after spinal cord injury, gain insight into physiotherapy approaches and pressure mapping for long-term health management, and engage in targeted breakout sessions including CPR for wheelchair users. The program concludes with an open “You Can’t Ask That” panel — giving space for candid, real-world questions.
This FREE event builds bridges across Experience, Systems, and Practice — supporting service alignment, reducing barriers, and strengthening quality of care statewide.
