  • Sixty years ago, Robert-Jean de Vogüé and friends embarked on a journey to redefine luxury sparkling wine, exploring regions like Argentina, California, Brazil, China, India, and Australia. At Chandon, they embraced risks, believing it was riskier not to take them. In 1982, John Wright visited Victoria, impressed by Australia's spirit, leading to Phillipe Coulon's approval and the assignment of Tony Jordan to find the perfect vineyard land. Choosing the diverse terroir of the Yarra Valley, Jordan became the Chief Winemaker, releasing the first cuvées in 1989.
