SPARK Deakin Accelerator Launch Day
Event Information
Description
The future is going to be led by the next generation of entrepreneurs, and we are empowering them.
Every year, the SPARK Deakin Accelerator boosts 10 startups founded by Deakin University students and alumni to help bring their impact to the next level.
The Accelerator program invests a total of $100,000 equity-free seed funding ($10,000 per team) and empowers the teams through mentoring from the ecosystem's brightest, access to our CBD co-working space at Collins Square (valued at over $500/month), connection to investors and collaborators, and by building a supportive tribe and network around them.
In partnership with Google Cloud for Startups, Amazon Web Services, and Hubspot, our program also provides $20,000 credit for the Google Cloud platform plus 1 on 1 office hours with the folks at Google, $7,500 credits from AWS, and 90% Hubspot marketing, sales, and customer service platform.
Ready to launch
We are thrilled to invite you to the SPARK Deakin 2019 Accelerator Launch Day. Join us to warmly welcome and introduce the 10 selected startups. Our vibrant and ambitious teams comprise of a colourful gamut of experts and innovators. They are made up of engineers, developers, social entrepreneurs, artists, marketing experts, campaigners and bright business minds.
Each of the top 10 teams have undergone a highly competitive selection process, a four-day intensive program, and pitched in front of a distinguished panel of judges to make it to this point.
You will get to hear the teams pitch their startups to the public for the first time on Launch Day!

After hearing the pitches and keynote presentation, we invite you to join us to stay for some refreshments and canapés where you will have the opportunity to meet the teams. This highlight event also sparks a distinct opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, founders, investors, social entrepreneurs, curious and ambitious talents from Deakin University, and the Melbourne startup ecosystem community.
