Sounds of the Shaman

Sounds of the Shaman

North Fremantle Community HallNorth Fremantle, WA
Saturday, Feb 28, 2026 from 3 pm to 5:30 pm AWST
Overview

An afternoon ritual of dance, sound, meditation and stillness.

Join us (Stewart and Gareth) on Saturday the 28th of February to recalibrate your being and open yourself to the gifts of life.

Sounds of the Shaman is our latest dance and sound collaboration: Where you will be guided through cycles of movement, deep meditation and sound soaked stillness.

Our intention is to help you return to a sense of wholeness, re-awaken your deep knowing of life's interconnectedness, and find inspiration in the everyday blessings of life.

Our offering lasts for 2.5 hours and combines aspects of Soul Motion conscious dance, sound healing, somatic inquiry and meditation to offer you a container that is both gentle yet deep, nourishing and energising.

We can't wait to weave the ritual with you and facilitate you're reconnection with the vibrancy of life.

_________________________________________

We'll conclude with tea, some nourishing food and a chance for spoken connection at the end

Please bring a cushion and light layers to assist your comfort in moments of stillness and meditation

An Improtant Note:

Shamanism can mean different things to different people. In this context we use it to describe a process of direct contact with the source of life itself: that deep felt knowing of our unbroken connection to the world around us, within us, below us and above us.

Sounds of the Shaman is not a ritual of purging or offloading, but a ritual of mindful reconnection.

For a fuller explanation of everyday Shamanism I recommend the you tube video "7 Interesting Facts about Shamanism" by Movement Medicine teacher Yacov Darling Khan:
