Southern Cross Kids' Camps are designed to seek to interrupt the cycle of abuse and trauma in children's lives. We are passionate about inspiring hope and joy in young people from tough places.

Movie Screening - Sound of Hope
Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot is an inspiring drama based on the true story of Donna and Reverend W.C. Martin in rural Texas, who led their small church community to see God do amazing things through them, proving faith and community can overcome immense challenges. The film follows the Martins as they take in difficult-to-place kids, inspiring 22 other families in their congregation, transforming their town and demonstrating profound compassion for vulnerable youth.

Not everyone will be called to foster but we are all called to do something. Serving at a Southern Cross Kids' Camp might be your next step!?? A camp run for 7-11yr olds from 28th June-3rd July 2026 in Mackay. We need amazing 18yrs+ to come and spend a week with kids from tough places - to have fun with them, meet their needs, laugh, play and be awesome. And we need a support crew - on camp and pre-camp. You'll hear how you could possibly be involved and then get to chat about the film over some yummy nibbles.
