Experience new techniques to feel replenished, rejuvenated, and relaxed. Leave with a clear head, a soothed mind, knowing a little more about yourself, and armed with some fresh tools &amp; strategies.1. Understanding Mood Food with Rebekah Russell, Naturopath, BlackmoresLearn about gut health and how it is related to mood and mind. The evidence is clear that diet and mental health are linked! Poor diet can contribute to a risk for depression and anxiety. Come and hear about strategies to increase the nutritional value of your food and try some delicious healthy treats. Small, manageable changes can reap great health benefits in our quest for a calm, well community.2. Creative Calming Self Care with Jane Macnaught, Counsellor, Tranquillo PlaceCome and try creative ways to calm the mind. Simple breathing practices. Gentle movement to encourage reduction of stress and tension. Exploration of emotions with an easy activity. Build empathy skills and self compassion with pencils and paper. Foster self kindness and quieten the inner critic. Take home tools.3. Community Acupuncture with Lois Nethery, Ocean AcupunctureRelax in a group setting while you receive a stress-releasing acupuncture or acupressure mini-treatment. Acupuncture releases feel-good endorphins, helps to switch off the fight-or-flight response and turn on on your natural relaxation pathways. Enjoy a group experience with this ancient healing practice. Participate or observe.Your booking for this workshop gives you the opportunity to hear and experience all 3 presenters. The afternoon will be safe, relaxed, friendly, fun and interesting. There will be no physical challenges and everything is optional.
