Songwriting and Performance | Mel April | School Holiday Workshop
Designed for high school students in Years 9–12 who are serious about honing their craft and want to take their music to the next level.
Step inside AIM this April and spend two unforgettable days making music, meeting other young creatives, and discovering what you’re capable of as a performer and songwriter.
Designed for high school students in Years 9–12, our School Holiday Songwriting and Performance Workshop is your chance to learn from real industry musicians and explore what it means to write, play, and perform at a professional level.
Across your intensive, you’ll jam with other students, develop new ideas, and refine your craft under the guidance of AIM’s accomplished educators, alumni, and current students. You’ll learn how to communicate in an ensemble, how to improvise, and how to bring your own songs to life.
Each day builds on the last, giving you space to reflect between sessions and return with fresh ideas. You’ll explore workshops on vocals, improvisation, and songwriting - each a chance to experiment, collaborate, and grow your confidence. You’ll also get a rare behind-the-scenes look at AIM life, from sitting in on rehearsals to hearing alumni share stories from the industry.
Come ready to play, write, and perform. Leave with new skills, new friends, and a deeper love for making music.
