Songbirds choir
Weekly Tuesday evenings SongCircle for all women and their children.
We are the songbirds~ northern beaches mother and child choir and we are looking to Grow In numbers.
All women are invited and all of their children. Some women come by themselves, some with their kids, some with their kids sometimes, some with their own mums, some with a friend, whatever works to get you here Singing.
No auditions, we're not like that. Just book for the term and come along when you can, that might not be very week and that's okay, we get it.
We are a relaxed group wanting to connect and build community and we do that during school Term, via singing together, drinking tea and chatting. We are a song circle (Think very relaxed small choir) lead by me but all equal in circle. Sometimes we learn harmonies, sometimes we practice finding our own, sometimes I'll teach parts, sometimes we solo (if you want) sometimes we play drums and even ukuleles, always we laugh. We are a joyful bunch, learning to find our voices and let go of all that's blocked and holding us back.
We sing all songs. Maybe not opera and church hymns but everything else is possible. Depending what I'm feeling called to do And will help the current group vocally, Let go and connect. We always seem to get just wjat we needed from these sessions.
Some come For the peace, some for the connections, it doesnt matter your why, just come sing and see where it gets you.
If you can talk you can sing. I'll help with everything else.
No need to read music here.
The cost is low as we are a community choir. The ticket fee covers your family for the term. Yes there is a full sponsorship option available for anyone who can't afford my fee for SomgBirds. Because this type of music making is for all, not just those who can afford it.
On street parking, there's plenty.
We are in the front room up the main stairs.
