Somatic Sensual Noir is an embodied burlesque class that explores sensuality through slow, intentional movement, presence, and nervous system awareness. This class is about feeling rather than performing, allowing sensation, emotion, and expression to emerge from within.

Drawing from somatic practices, classic noir burlesque, femme fatale archetypes, and goth aesthetics, we move with deliberateness and depth. You will build strength, control, and fluidity while exploring texture, weight, and grounded sensual expression. The focus is on internal experience, body awareness, and confidence rather than tricks or perfection.

Expect a warm, supportive environment with guided movement exploration, floor work, and standing sequences. We develop muscular strength and control alongside softness and release, helping you feel both powerful and receptive in your body. Options are always offered and you are encouraged to move at your own pace and within your own boundaries.

Somatic Sensual Noir is suitable for all experience levels and all bodies. No prior burlesque or dance training is required. This class is for anyone wanting to reconnect with their sensuality in a way that feels safe, slow, and self led.

Come as you are. Leave feeling grounded, embodied, and darkly radiant. Optional performance at a burlesque show on 14th March in Wentworth Falls for dances who feel ready and want to join the fun.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MOONFLOWER MOVEMENT CLASS?

Moonflower Movement classes are somatic burlesque classes focusing on sensual burlesque and fusion styles. They are about stepping into your power celebrating your body and self and connecting with your body. We will cover burlesque with a fusion of other styles including 20s - 60s vintage dance, silk veil fan dance, bellydance and temple dance styles focusing on dance as an embodied ritual in which we honour and celebrate ourself! We will work two routines over two sessions with COMPLETELY optional performances.

The Moonflower Movement classes will help us build up a repertoire of dance movements and help you explore all the different ways to move your body and what your body is capable of with optional empowering burlesque fusion performance opportunities available to dancers future shows.The space is bathed in a tea light for each class as we connect with our bodies and each other and take back our power as beautiful, sensual dancers owning our bodies and reveling in its beauty! This is a aburlesque act where a rainbow silk veil will be used in the opening half of the routine.
