Solid 2026 Hackathon
Learn to build cool stuff using Solid and connect with professionals at the Solid 2026 Hackathon - where ideas come to life!
Welcome to the Solid 2026 Hackathon!
Co-hosted by the ANU Software Innovation Institute and CBRIN, with support from the UK Open Data Institute
Join us for a hands-on event bringing together software engineers, data scientists, data privacy and security specialists, legal professionals, and designers to build the next generation of decentralised web applications using the Solid protocol, putting users back in control of their own data.
Participants will:
- Learn privacy engineering in practice - design and build secure digital services powered by private data vaults, gaining skills that are rapidly becoming essential as governments and organisations move toward integrated, user-controlled data ecosystems.
- Develop cross-platform apps for privacy, security, and user-owned data - built on the open World Wide Web Solid specification, you'll leave with practical, transferable expertise to create interoperable services that work across platforms and put individuals in command of their digital lives.
Whether you're deepening your expertise or exploring the space for the first time, come collaborate with a multidisciplinary community and help build the foundations of a more trustworthy web. To know more head to Solidcommunity AU Article
