Through this tour you will:

  • Learn about the development of Carss Bush Park from a private estate to public parkland; what has changed and what has been preserved?
  • Celebrate the development of Carss Bush Park over the last century

About Local Studies:

Our Local Studies Team support the preservation and promotion of the Georges River Council through the research and collection of local historical materials such as maps, photographs and newspapers to gain a deeper understanding of our history, culture, and community.

Please note: participants must be able to stand / walk for a period of 1-2 hour. Meet at Carss Cottage at the start time, the tour will end in the park with light refreshments. This event will not be rescheduled in wet weather.

  • For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future.
