About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

Working with thread and stitch to create a ‘soft’ drawing, this two-day workshop will focus on basic hand stitching and experimental embroidery techniques combined with simple design and compositional exercises.

Artist Michele Elliot will guide you through this workshop where you'll use cloth instead of paper, where you will test out patterns and shapes, textures and layers with different hand-stitch applications.

Participants will experiment and combine these techniques and discover ways to use thread for mark making.

Ages: 16+

Please note:

  • At least 8 participants are required to run this workshop.
  • We will cancel the tour by 1pm the day before if the minimum participants to proceed with the tour are not met. Participants will be contacted via email.
  • Tickets are non-transferrable. If you no longer need your ticket, please contact us to arrange a refund.
