Event description

Description

Ever considered what social drumming can do for your wellbeing?

Studies conducted by professionals in the fields of music therapy and mental health show us that drumming can:

  • Reduce tension, anxiety and stress
  • Help control chronic pain
  • Boost the immune system
  • Release negative feelings and emotional trauma.

Drumming is said to induce deep relaxation, lower blood pressure, and produce feelings of wellbeing.

Drum with us!

You’ll learn basic hand drumming techniques and rhythms, and discover how these can be used to build connection, reduce stress and improve your overall wellbeing.

No previous musical experience is required – our facilitators will guide you through everything you need to know.

COST: The first session on Thursday 21st November is FREE, so you can try it out and see if Social Drumming is for you.

You then have the option to sign up for the remainder of the five week program for $36. Bookings are essential.

WHERE: The SECC Community Hub - 1007 Botany Rd, Mascot (cnr Coward St)
