BOLA Guest Conversations - SMEs and the Law
Behind every growing SME sits a legal reality few leaders truly unpack. This conversation lifts the lid on the issues that can quietly shape, strengthen or seriously derail your business.
BOLA members and invited guests will gather on Thursday 5 March at Casa Nostra Caffè, Osborne Park for our next Guest Conversation.
Our session will be led by Robert Greig, Principal Lawyer at Greig's Safety and Employment Lawyers. Rob facilitated our very first BOLA discussion more than five years ago and understands the spirit of our group - practical, open, and grounded in real-world business experience.
This conversation will explore key legal considerations facing SME leaders today, including:
· Succession planning and business continuity
· Health and safety obligations, including director responsibilities under industrial manslaughter legislation
· Psycho-social safety in the workplace
· Employment and HR law, including arrangements outside the Award framework
· As always, the format encourages candid discussion, practical insight, and shared experience.
The morning will be bookended by morning tea and lunch, providing time to connect with fellow members and continue the conversation.
Date: Thursday 5 March
Timing: 10:15 Friday to 13:00 (includes morning coffee and working lunch).
Venue: Upstairs Conference Room, Casa Nostra Caffé, 38 King Edward Road, Osborne Park, WA.
Price: $55 PP - Limit of 5 (Early registration is recommended).
