Introducing Smartphone Stories: Your Gateway to Creative Filmmaking!
Embark on a thrilling journey with Smartphone Stories, an engaging and interactive project designed to empower participants with the art of storytelling using just their smartphones.
Whether you're a complete novice or have some video experience, this workshop promises to equip you with the skills needed to craft compelling films and content, all from the convenience of your handheld device.
Simply bring along your preferred device—be it an Android phone, Apple iPhone, or tablet with a camera—and dive into the world of digital storytelling. Everyone is welcome! Over the course of two dynamic days, you'll learn essential skills in writing and planning, shooting, and editing, all exclusively using your smartphone.
Unleash your creativity by sharing personal narratives and enhancing them with your unique video creations - plus screen your film at the end of Day 2 to the group!
The possibilities extend beyond the workshop as you showcase your film at festivals, online platforms, or local events. For the 2024 City of Port Phillip Libraries workshops, the best films on the theme of positive ageing will be featured in a special screening event alongside the prestigious St Kilda Film Festival.
Immerse yourself in this fun-filled workshop to acquire new skills, boost your confidence in phone technology, create your debut film, forge connections within your community through creativity and collaboration, and most importantly, share your unique stories!
We can't wait to welcome you to this exciting cinematic adventure!
