What’s included

The Smart Energy Council is hosting in-person CPD training events for solar and battery installers, with dinner and drinks included.

• CPD training covering solar panel end-of-life management and battery installation standards
• Information on solar panel recycling, stewardship and a Government announcement relevant to installers
• Guidance on applying AS/NZS 5139 Part 1
• Opportunity to attend prize draws on the night (attendance required)

Training program

Part 1: Solar Panel Recycling and Government Announcement (CPD points TBA)
Covers end-of-life solar panel management, installer on-site considerations, how installer decisions affect safety, reuse and recycling, relevant Government updates, recycling information sources, solar panel stewardship, circular economy principles, and why end-of-life management matters.

Part 2: Installing Batteries Safely and Meeting Standards (20 CPD points)
Focuses on applying AS/NZS 5139 Part 1, including common installation issues identified by auditors, documentation requirements, battery locations, fire protection and separation, and labelling and signage requirements.

Bonus session: AC Solar Warehouse will present pre-packaged, brand-specific labelling kits.
