About this event
Overview
These workshops are short, powerful, group-learning experiences designed to take leadership & personal development theories, and turn them into action.
In less than an hour, you will watch a video summary of the book featured that week (so you don't have to read the entire book to participate), work on an action plan for applying it to your life, get feedback from your peers in a breakout group, and commit to implementing your plan after the class is over.
There will be two workshops, each will focus on a different topic. Check the dates and topics out below!
Topics
Monday 24 January: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
The Wall Street Journal called this "the most influential business book of the century" and it's certainly one of the most recognised. It remains an insightful reference for today's leaders.
Wednesday 16th February: Focus
Learn how to develop the three types of focus you need in order to thrive. This sumamry offers a look at today’s scarcest resource and the secret to high performance and fulfillment: attention.
How the Workshops run:
- Consume: In each workshop you’ll start by joining a group of other students to watch a summary from the Readitfor.me library on a best-selling book from that subject area, and then work together to put the ideas into action.
- Commit: Create and commit to an action plan to solve a challenge you are facing.
- Collaborate: Join a breakout group and get feedback on your action plan.
What will I need on the day?
- Your Zoom link to join will be sent to you via the email you register with on the day.
- A workbook for each workshop will be sent to you via the email you register with prior to the event.
- For the live session, you will need a device with both audio and video capability, it is 1 person per device. We recommended you set up somewhere you can talk and contribute to discussion where there is minimal background noise. Some participants may want accessible to them pen and paper to take notes.
