Sketching made easy with Alexandra Burford

An ideal starting point to those new to drawing, or wanting to develop existing skills.

Join this two week course to develop fundamental drawing skills and discover your individual style.

• Held on Thursday 21 and 28 May 2026
• Suitable for any levels of experience
• For ages 12 years and over.

The sessions will include both group and individual guidance.

• Begin with loosening up exercises to help you relax - inquisitive and experimental approach.
• Some focus will be given to developing the ability to 'see' the subject and represent it.
• We'll cover line work, shape, space, tone, colour, and media to help you identify and develop your drawing style.

You will need

• A2 sketch pad, with up to 6 pages per class.
• 2b pencils and rubber - Target have a 5 pack of 2b pencils for $1.
• A set of coloured pencils.
