Absolutely. Axe throwing is all about technique and is not hindered by strength, age, gender, or athletic ability. You can participate if you are over the age of 18, sign the waiver, wear enclosed shoes, are not intoxicated by alcohol or drugs, and are not more than 20 weeks pregnant.

While having the support of a friend is nice, axe throwing lanes will be randomly assigned, and friends will be placed in separate lanes. We encourage you to mingle and meet new people, which is easier when everyone is on their own. You're all in the same boat!

While we want everyone to look their best, dress comfortably for movement and be sure to wear enclosed shoes. If we can see any part of your bare feet, unfortunately you won't be able to throw.

It's acceptable if you are 1-2 years older or younger than your designated age group, but we discourage a larger age deviation. By keeping the age groups restricted, we're increasing everyone's chances of forming natural connections.

We recommend arriving well-fed! Non-alchoholic drinks and snacks can be purchased if you're hungry, but full meals are not available.

Safety is our top priority. Lumber Punks is not a licensed venue, plus there is a strict no-alcohol policy before and during the event. We promise you'll be having so much fun throwing axes, you won't even think about it.

After 6pm, free street parking close to the venue is relatively easy to find.

Once you've bought your ticket, the waiver link will be on the thank you page and in your confirmation email. Mingle It Up will also send you a reminder about a week before the event. If needed, you can sign it in person at the event.

Lumber Punks has taken all steps to create a safe and fun environment for axe throwers. The lanes are self-contained, eradicating the risk of wayward axes from adjacent lanes. They are also a Dry Venue to limit risk and further promote a safe environment.
