Two years after its European release, the acclaimed documentary film Singled [Out] it's finally coming to the United States. Join us for the First American Premiere in San Francisco! Panel with directors, MeeSun Boice from Mersea, moderated by Ella Sogomonian, KRON4 News Anchor.
SINGLED [OUT] tells the story of five single, educated women in four corners of the world: Jules in Melbourne, Australia; Manu in Barcelona, Spain; Shu and Yang in Shanghai, China and Melek in Istambul, Turkey -they all travel solo in a world where pairing up is the norm. Together with the voices of well-known experts in the areas of sociology, law and demography, the film unveils the challenges of single women around world in the era of choice, and is a journey to the heart of the single women today.

We are thrilled to be able to showcase the documentary at Mersea, on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay. This amazing restaurant is even built out of 13 shipping containers! One of our executive producers, MeeSun Boice, built Mersea to foster the ongoing economic, social and cultural renaissance on Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island. She also supported the documentary in its final stage of post-production and we are now able to partner with her to bring it to you.
Come early, meet the producers from Spain with a complimentary glass of prosecco before the screening starts.
