Show n Share is a regular gathering of sculptors and other creatives to learn from, inspire each other & share their creative processes.

Have you thought about trying your hand at sculpture but didn't know where to start?
Ever ask yourself “How did they do that?” when looking at a sculpture?
Are you an experienced sculptor who'd like to share your experience with other sculptors?
Are you keen to experiment with techniques and wonder if others are too?
Would you like to get out of the studio every couple of months for some face-to-face time with fellow sculptors?
Have you thought of running a workshop but lack confidence and experience? Try out a summary of your presentation on a small group of appreciative and encouraging guinea pigs!
All these plus more can be answered and more is possible! The more sculptors participating in this event, the better it will be. There is no expectation of experience, in fact, novice sculptors are as welcome as more experienced sculptors. Please make the most of your SQ membership and meet, connect with and learn from each other.
If you’ve never been to The Shed, this is your chance. Parking is usually available behind the Old Museum.
Show n Share is a regular event, usually alternating with workshops, and like the workshops, is free for SQ members.
What will happen on February 5th, 2pm - 4.30pm
Join us this month for a chance to share with others some of the artwork you and others are working on. If you're not doing anything atm, come and be inspired!
As always, we encourage all attendees to Show n Share to share with the group what they are currently working on or have completed, describing processes etc. Attendees can bring along work in progress to work on during the session with opportunities for others to develop new skills or processes under peer guidance. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect and be inspired!
PLUS - experiment with a magical decorative ceramic technique called "Mocha Diffusion". This will involve making some terracotta dishes and applying various surface treatments to create surprising patterns.
Please wear an apron. For SQ members, clay and all materials will be provided free. However, your pieces will be bisque and glaze fired at a small cost of $5 per piece.
For non-members, your $30 fee will cover all costs up to 3 pieces fired.
