Come learn the basics in Shibari, talking about safety, essential knots, structure, which leads in a couple of easy ties.

Welcome to Shibari Perth Rope Classes18+ Event ID required.

Are you curious about Shibari rope but not sure where to start? Our beginner friendly classes are designed to help you explore rope safely and confidently, while building skills step by step. Whether you’re completely new or looking to refresh the basics, this is a relaxed and welcoming environment to learn, practise, and connect.


Beginners Lesson

Ideal for those just starting their rope journey.

This class introduces you to the foundations of Shibari, covering:

  • Essential knots and ties, the building blocks for all rope work
  • Simple structural ties which leads into a 2-rope Takate Kote (“TK”)
  • Safety, consent, and communication practices
  • Risk profiles and responsible play
  • Basic language and etiquette so you feel confident in any rope space

If you don’t yet own rope, we have some available for you to borrow for the class.

Some elements can be practised solo, but the art of Shibari is always more engaging with a partner, please undersand that we do not pair attendees during lessons or events.


What to Expect


  • A structured, beginner-friendly introduction to Shibari
  • Hands-on teaching with guidance from experienced instructors
  • Time to practise and build confidence with your new skills
  • A safe, respectful learning space for all attendees


Class Details


  • Tickets are sold as tying-pair tickets at our midweek sessions - no walk-ins sorry.
  • Doors open 6:30pm for check-in and paperwork
  • Doors closed 6:50pm
  • Class Time: 7:00pm Sharp – 9:00pm with open practice time until 10:00pm
  • Cost: $25 per person
  • Dress Code: Neat casual or gym wear, comfortable for movement.
  • Parking: On-site and street parking available

Our full T&C's are on our website which is located in the bottom footer.

There will be a little bit of paper work to start with once filled in it's valid for the year.
