Create Your Own Sacred Frame Drum
A Transformational Workshop with Lisa Drury – Geomancing the Stone
Join us for a day of soulful creation and connection as you craft your very own sacred frame drum. A personal instrument of rhythm, healing, and transformation.
What’s Included
Everything you need is provided:
- Hand-crafted drum hoops in your choice of size, either 34cm or 43cm
- Eastern Grey Kangaroo or Ferral Goat rawhide skins
- A sheepskin beater
- A care plan for your drum
- All tools and materials for drum-making
- Kangen water, tea, coffee, and a fruit platter
What to Bring
- Your own lunch
- Optional: a small crystal or sacred item to include in your prayer tie (for your drum’s “birthday”)
- Optional: personal crystals or spirit helpers to hold your intention during creation
About the Experience
This is more than crafting a drum, it’s a journey inward.
As you lace your drum, you may find reflections of your own life’s stories and challenges. Each pass of the rawhide lacing becomes a meditation; each tensioning pull is a step toward greater understanding and each knot or tangle is time to pause and unravel.
You’ll create your drum with sacred intention, honouring the origins of the materials, timber from the Standing Ones and rawhide from Spiritually Chosen Beings.
By the end of the day, you’ll take home not only a beautiful, resonant instrument, but a powerful ally for your unique personal practices.
Also Included
We’ll explore the Southern Hemisphere Medicine Wheel, learning how the four elements influence rhythm and sound. You’ll be introduced to foundational drumming techniques, connecting with one of the world’s most ancient and soulful instruments.
Join us for a day of creation, reflection, and connection and leave with a sacred drum that sings the song of your own heart.
