“Serotonin Education Series” with Tais Sardinas

About this event

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the October 7th session & the 4th of November session are ONLINE classes via Zoom meeting. Please note, time is now 8 PM to 9 PM.

Are you more confused than ever about health and wellness?

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious when you think about wellbeing and what you should be doing daily? Been thinking of doing crazy juice cleanses?

Serotonin wants to remove the complexity and confusion by offering a Serotonin Education Series. A series of events to help you reach your best potential.

Our panel of industry leaders will be bringing it back to the basics and providing insight into various ways of looking after yourself.

In our Serotonin Series, space will be held for you over a beautiful community morning in Utopia, where you will connect with like-minded humans, enrich your brain and satiate your body.

What do you get when you attend our 7 part Serotonin Series?

  • Access to women’s health specialists: Tais Sardinas | Registered Nutritionist & a Panel of guests speakers
  • 1-on-1 time with Emily Hazel | Founder of Serotonin Eatery
  • Accessible and understandable information on women’s health
  • Answers to your health questions
  • A simple 30-day action plan to practice what you learned
  • Accountability and support to reach your health goals
  • Connection with like-minded #happies
  • Goodie bags with our favourite health products and services
  • Access to The 12-Step Serotonin Formula

Before coming to the Series you’ll feel overwhelmed with ‘wellness information’ and after you’ll leave with an understanding of your own body.

What are the topics of all the Series?

June 3rd - Regulate your hormones and have a regular cycle

You will learn how to bring your body and hormones back to homeostasis. Over your lifetime, hormonal issues will arise for different reasons like stress, blood sugar imbalance, a night of poor sleep, and even that ‘glass of wine to relax after work’. We will teach you how to plan your life with your cycle so it’s easier to regulate your hormones when you go through these life experiences.

July 1st - Create a healthy gut and resilient immune system

You will learn how to strengthen your immune system by first taking care of your gut health. If you get recurrent colds and infections or you have digestive issues like uncomfortable bloating, gas, reflux, indigestion, constipation, then you might need to pay more attention to your gut health. We will teach you how to correct nutritional deficiencies that impact your immune system, how to identify the right foods for YOU and how to heal your gut and improve your digestion.

August 5th - Daily affirmations and visualisation to accept and love yourself

You will learn how to increase your confidence, self-love and self-worth. If you don’t feel enough - pretty enough, fit enough, smart enough, successful enough, then you need to become aware of what’s happening in your mind’s internal narrative. We will teach you how to reframe negative self-talk into empowering thoughts and how to recode your brain so you have more positive beliefs about yourself.

September 2nd - Heal your relationship with exercise and become fit with ease

You will learn how to become fit by moving your body in a variety of ways and healing your relationship with exercise. If you punish yourself with exercise after eating a brownie or can’t keep a regular workout routine even though you want to become fit, then you need to have a different approach to exercise. We will teach you how to find exercises you love, how much exercise is enough and how a healthy and fit body looks different in everybody.

October 7th - Identify the right foods for you and feel guilt-free after eating

You will learn how to heal your relationship with food and feel guilt-free after eating anything. If you go into binge and restrict eating cycles, go in and out of diets and label food as healthy and unhealthy, then you need to start seeing food differently. We will teach you how food helps your body function optimally, how to listen to the messages food sends to your body and how to make your own balanced meals, snacks and drinks to nourish your body.

November 4th - Recharge your energy overnight and jump out of bed everyday

You will learn how to have more consistent energy throughout the day and have a clear, focused and productive mind regularly.

If you dread getting out of bed in the morning, have sweet food cravings often and feel like you need a nap to get through the day, then you need to start prioritising your sleep.

We will teach you how to set up your night routine and sleep environment for consistently good quality sleep and how to wake up with ease by following your natural 90-minute sleep cycles.

December 2nd - Reframe stress and anxiety and identify yourself as a resilient person

You will learn how to use stress and anxiety to your advantage rather than against you. Over your lifetime, you feel overwhelmed with stress or anxiety due to work, relationships or finances. We will teach you how to self-assess how much stress and anxiety you’re feeling and why, how to regulate elevated cortisol from stress with micro habits and how to see stress and anxiety with an empowering perspective.

Who will be there?

Like-minded women who want to be empowered with education to take care of their health.

Where will it be?

Utopia Place, Serotonin’s event space, right next door to Serotonin Eatery.

When will it be?

On the first Thursday of every month in 2021 from 8:00am until 10:00am.

How will this help you reach your health goals?

By understanding how your body works, creating simple 30-day action plans, having accountability from our nutritionist Tais and having support from all the amazing women who join the Series.

What do I wear?

Yoga pants, a cute outfit or anything that makes you feel amazing and beautiful.

What do I bring?

A notebook and a pen or a laptop to make your 30-day action plan. Bring what you normally use to plan your monthly calendar and weekly schedule.

Do I need to come to all seven in the Series?

You can attend just one, a few or all seven! We have designed the Series so you can change your health habits with ease over the next 7 months with an amazing community of like-minded humans.

Instead of just attending another wellness event, learning more information and going back to life as usual, you will follow your monthly action plan and let us hold you accountable, so you can reach your health goals by the end of the year.

Can I come if I have dietary requirements?

The food is suited to coeliacs and vegans, so no matter if you’re sugar, gluten or dairy-free, we will have food and drinks for you.

How will breakfast and drinks work?

We will have the Mr Yum QR code set up so you can order as soon as you arrive. We will all take a break at 9 am to enjoy breakfast while breaking off into groups led by Emily, Tais or guest speakers.

How do I get there?

You can drive, ride your bike or come by train or tram. We’re located right next to Burnley train station, Swan Street tram, on the Yarra bike path, and just off the Monash freeway with free 4-hour parking out the front.
